STATE WRESTLING UPDATE - Congratulations to Ivy Sullivan who placed 3rd and Randelle McKay who placed 5th at the IKWF state meet in Peoria! Special shout-out to Kaysen Arreola who had a strong showing at the IESA state meet in Dekalb as well as Casey Wise, Sawyer Magne, Kenzie Kibble, Emelia Cecchetti, Joe Connors and Sofia Luna at the IKWF state meet in Peoria. I am reaching out today regarding an increase in concerning social media activity involving Reagan Middle School students. Over the past several days, we have become aware of inappropriate posts on platforms such as TikTok, Snapchat, and other social media that depict students and staff members in a vulgar, disrespectful, and harassing manner. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable and is disruptive to the positive and respectful learning environment we work hard to maintain at Reagan Middle School.
Let me be very clear. Recording, photographing, or posting staff members, students, or locations within Reagan Middle School for the purpose of sharing on social media is not permitted. Any student who is found to be creating, recording, posting, sharing, or distributing this type of content will face disciplinary consequences in accordance with the Dixon Public Schools student behavior policy.
This includes students who may not have originally created the content but are involved in sharing, reposting, or distributing it. Students found to be connected to this activity will be subject to the full extent of school disciplinary action.
We will be addressing this directly with all students throughout the day today in their class periods and during lunch to ensure that every grade level clearly understands our expectations moving forward.
We are asking for your partnership at home. Please take time this weekend to check your child’s phones, social media accounts, and devices and have a conversation about responsible digital behavior. If there are any posts, videos, or images currently circulating that involve Reagan Middle School students, staff, or the building, they need to be taken down immediately.
Our goal is to maintain a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment for every student and staff member in our building. We appreciate your partnership in helping reinforce these expectations with your child.

RMS Track will begin practice on Wednesday, March 18.
Athletes must be registered at:
https://schools.snap.app/DixonHS
A physical must be on file and less than 13 months old before practicing. Sixth graders do not need a physical.
The 50 dollar athletic fee must be paid by April 8.
Practice locations vary between RMS and DHS. When practice is at DHS, students will be bussed over but must be picked up from DHS. Practices at RMS end at 4:30pm and practices at DHS end at 4:45pm.
A complete calendar will be provided at the first practice.

We’re looking for parent volunteers to help make this year’s RMS Book Fair a great experience for our students! We have 7 time slots available (3–4 hours each) and would love to have two volunteers per shift.

Ready to light up Friday nights and bring the energy to the field? The DHS Football Dance Team is holding tryouts March 17–20 from 3:45–4:30 PM in the DHS cafeteria!
This is open to all incoming 9th-12th graders who want to perform, build friendships, and be part of something bigger than themselves.
💜Pick up a tryout packet in the RMS office or the AD’s office.
The camp will meet every Wednesday for five weeks, beginning June 10 and culminating on July 11, when campers will showcase and sell the products they’ve developed throughout the program.
