FRIDAY APRIL 25 
 

* SWAP - SWAP applications are being accepted for summer 2025 work.  SWAP stands for Student Worker Assistance Program and allows students to help pay for some of their athletic fees by working various maintenance and custodial jobs throughout the district, during the summer months.  SWAP is a voluntary program, offered to any Dixon Public School student who will be in grades 9-12 during the 2025-2026 school year.  Applications are now available online at Documents | Dixon High School, in any DHS office, or the RMS main office. Applications are due Friday, April 25, 2025. 

 

* Attention students interested in playing football at DHS in the fall- there will be a mandatory informational meeting for players and parents on Sunday, April 27th at 5:00pm in the DHS cafeteria. Information will be shared regarding summer workouts, fundraising, and the upcoming season.   

 
* Team Corn Detasseling Summer Job applications are available in the main office  

 

6th-8th Grade Dixon Boys’ Basketball Camp 

When: Wednesdays in June (4th, 11th, 18th, 25th) 

Where: DHS Lancaster Gym 

Time: 12:30pm-2:00pm 

Cost: $40 

Campers will work with DHS players and staff on all areas of their game through a wide variety of drills and games! Incoming 6th-8th grade boys should return the bottom portion of this flyer, along with $40 cash by May 1st to ensure a spot and a camp t-shirt! Above materials may be dropped off at the 4/27 open gym at DHS from 3:30-5 or taken/mailed to:

You may sign up the day of the camp. (T-shirt not provided with day of registration).  

Extra camp shirts may be available at that time to purchase for those signing up the day of the camp.    

 

 

*RMS 8th grade promotion ceremony will be held on Friday, May 23rd - 6:30pm at DHS A.C. Bowers field. A memo with more information was sent home with students. 

 

*All students entering 9th grade are required to provide proof of an IL school physical, up-to-date immunization records and dental exam. Ninth grade requirements forms will be sent home with students. 

 

 

*April 1 is Impact Launch Day! Current in-district 8th grade students are able to register for the SVCC Impact Program between April 1 - September 1. Sign up is now open for @SVCCImpact!  

 

Current in-district 8th grade students have until September 1 of their freshman year to sign up and start earning tuition at Sauk Valley Community College. Get ready to make an impact! In-district 8th grade students can sign up for the Impact Program by registering at svcc.edu/impact.  

 

Give back to your community and earn your tuition at the same time by signing up for the Impact Program. In-district 8th grade students can sign up for the Impact Program by registering at svcc.edu/impact. Feel good by doing good! In-district incoming freshmen can sign up for the Impact Program by September 1 to earn up to three years of tuition and fees at Sauk Valley Community College!
