School Wide Activities Get ready for some fun this Friday during all lunches! For just $1 per piece of duct tape, you can help stick Mr. Magnafici to the wall. Every dollar raised will be donated to the United Way of Lee County, so bring your dollar bills!

Student Council invites all students to participate in Halloween Costume Day on Friday, October 31st! For a $1.00 donation to the United Way of Lee County, you can wear your Halloween costume to school! Please give your $1.00 to your WIN teacher by Friday. All costumes must be school appropriate. No masks or weapons allowed. Please come to school dressed in your costume — do not change at school. No glitter or hair color may be sprayed or applied at school.

Washington D.C. Trip - Attention 8th graders! Don’t miss your chance to learn all about the Washington, DC trip! An informational meeting will be held on Thursday, October 16th at 6:00 pm in the RMS cafeteria. This trip is an amazing opportunity, so be sure to attend the meeting and find out more! If you have questions, see Ms. Becker.

Ireland and England Trip 2027 - Attention 8th graders – You are invited to an informational meeting about a trip to Ireland and England after your freshmen year. The meeting is tonight at 6:30 pm in Mrs. Beck’s room – 206 - in Dixon High School. You can enter through the front doors starting at 6:15. The nine-day trip starts on June 4, 2027. Bring your parents or guardians to learn about this fun, educational opportunity for both students and family members!

Congratulations to our Boys and Girls Cross Country teams who both placed 1st at their Sectional last Saturday in Freeport. They will be competing this Saturday at the IESA STATE MEET in Normal! We will be having a State Send Off Parade this Friday, October 17th at 2:30pm. Please listen for the announcement to line up the hallways and send our teams off in style! Washington D.C. Trip - Attention 8th graders! Don’t miss your chance to learn all about the Washington, DC trip! An informational meeting will be held on Thursday, October 16th at 6:00 pm in the RMS cafeteria. This trip is an amazing opportunity, so be sure to attend the meeting and find out more! If you have questions, see Ms. Becker.

Ireland and England Trip 2027- Attention 8th graders – You are invited to an informational meeting about a trip to Ireland and England after your freshmen year. The meeting is tomorrow at 6:30 pm in Mrs. Beck’s room – 206 -- in Dixon High School. You can enter through the front doors starting at 6:15. The nine-day trip starts on June 4, 2027. Bring your parents or guardians to learn about this fun, educational opportunity for both students and family members!

RMS Halloween Dance is coming up on Friday, October 17th from 6 to 8 pm. Admission is $3.00. To attend, you must have no discipline referrals and at least 90% attendance from October 6th through the 17th. There will be a DJ, games, concessions, a costume contest, and even a pie-eating contest! Start planning your costumes now - it’s going to be a great night!

Choir - Join us for an evening of music! The 7th & 8th grade choirs along with the Dixon High School Choirs will present their Fall Concert on Tuesday, October 21 at 6:30pm at the James A Wiltz Auditorium. Come support our talented students and celebrate their hard work this season!

Art Club meets every Monday and Wednesday from 2:45pm-3:15pm in Mr. Taylors’ Room.

Drone Soccer meets every Tuesday from 2:45pm-4:00pm in the RMS Cafeteria. Anyone who has recently finished volleyball or cross country or anyone else who would like to join, please feel free to come to our next meeting and join our growing club!
