Parents, could your students benefit from extra assistance with school work? Check out this opportunity below from Sauk Valley Community College......
In an effort to assist students and families in these challenging times, SVCC created a new and free virtual tutoring initiative, in which we still have capacity to help even more students at this time.
As part of our Sauk Scholars program, we are able to provide virtual student tutors to local K-12 students and families that are interested. A Sauk Scholar is a student with at least a 3.5 GPA and was in the top 10% of their class in high school. These students are required to complete 25 hours of service to our local communities as part of the program's scholarship. The tutors are also fingerprinted as part of consideration for the initiative. Additional tutoring training for the students is also being provided and ongoing.
If a family is interested, please just have them complete the form at the link below. We will then review their information and make every effort to accommodate them. All sessions are held through Google and instructions to create an account are also provided in the form. I hope you are all off to a great start and that you are safe and well. Questions? Just let me know.
